Non Stop Hits (Aries) (1971 - 1972)
These albums are credited to the Mike Morton Congregation, and were released on the Aries label. Aries was an imprint run by RCA, who were later to take over the series themselves (see separate page).
Interestingly, Morton already had an ongoing series in production when these LPs started up (“Nonstop Top 20” on the Plexium label) and it appears that the Aries label were initially intent on simply taking it over. Following Plexium's volume 3, Aries released their own "Nonstop Top 20 volume 4", which in fact duplicated much of the Plexium album. But the transfer never happened and Plexium issued its own volume 4 soon after, with Aries starting an independent series beginning again volume 1.
As with Morton's earlier LPs, these feature edited songs, linked by audience applause to make a continuous soundtrack. They initially had 16 tracks each, but after two albums contracted to 14, forcing a tweak in the title.
