Non Stop Hits (RCA) (1972 - 1973)
This is a continuation of Mike Morton’s Aries series, having undergone a switch to the parent RCA label over the summer of 1972. (While this was occuring, Mike Morton’s Plexium albums were still continuing to appear.)
To start with, RCA used the same lettering on the front cover and the same layout on the back as Aries had done, but they quickly came up with their own sleeve design which was used from volume 2 onwards. RCA also began crediting the series to the Mike Morton Sounds. There are now just 12 tracks per LP. Volumes 7 and 8 correspond with “World Top 12” volumes 43 and 44 on the Flag label (and therefore, with two cartridges in the "Hits From England's Top Twenty" series).
Initially, the series had applause dubbed on between the tracks, as with Morton's other LPs, but this practice was soon dropped, bringing this series in line with other covers albums of the day.
